The Joy of Slowness in Meditation – My Day 19 Realization
hello and welcome to my day 19 of my meditation journey πΏ
as usual, this will begin with today’s meditation review ✨
today’s session brought a really meaningful insight to me — that the slow process is actually the joyness of the journey. yes, it’s not always about achieving something fast or rushing into deep states, but about embracing that gentle, slow unfolding.
now let me explain this from my point of view —
in meditation, you need to slow down. that’s the key. but then the question arises — how do we slow down the process? what’s the switch that lets us ease into that state?
well, today I noticed a few ways that can help us trigger this slowing-down process. one of the simplest yet most powerful is slowing down the breath π§♂️
you can do this by consciously observing and adjusting your breathing. try this: start to shallow down your breath — not in a forced way, but gently, where your inhale becomes shorter and softer. observe your chest while doing this. if you take a long, deep breath, your chest rises. but if you shorten the breath, there’s no visible rise. it's almost still. and that stillness? that’s the point where the slowing begins.
this process helped me reach a softer mental state today, where everything around felt quieter, even though nothing outside had changed. the slowness isn’t boring — it’s peaceful. it makes you feel the present, like really feel it.
and maybe that’s the hidden gem of meditation — the more you slow, the more you grow π±
so that was my learning today. i’ll keep exploring this slow state more and see what it continues to reveal.
until tomorrow,
stay slow and stay present π
