Why Rituals Matter in Meditation (And in Life) ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ—️

it’s day 10 of my meditation journey ๐Ÿง˜‍♂️✨

before i dive into today’s meditation update, i wanna share something personal — today is my birthday ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚. june 12 — a day where i always remind myself of how far i’ve come. life’s been rough, not gonna lie. challenges, setbacks, failures… but somehow, i’m still standing here — learning, evolving, becoming better bit by bit. from here on, no matter what life throws at me, i’ll stay strong. ๐Ÿš€

now coming back to today’s meditation experience — if i put it in one word: normal. nothing crazy, nothing out of the box, just normal. but one thing that’s been bugging me for the past few days is this whole third eye mystery ๐Ÿงฟ — sometimes i get those glimpses, that spark, that experience — and sometimes… nothing at all. and i kept asking myself — why does this happen?

today i feel like i finally got a part of the answer. it’s the ritual. to have a deep and powerful meditation session — you gotta respect the ritual.

for me, this is what works:

→ waking up at 4 AM ⏰ (not just randomly rolling out of bed)
→ first thing: drink 2 glasses of water ๐Ÿ’ง
→ splash water on my face 5 times to wake up properly ๐Ÿšฟ
→ toilet ๐Ÿ› — get that comfort out of the way
warm-up — especially neck rotations (trust me, they help a lot) ๐Ÿ”„
→ roll out my carpet ๐Ÿงบ, open my breath app ๐Ÿ“ฑ (only for that, no scrolling, no distractions)
→ sit down. start. breathe. ๐ŸŒฌ️

when i follow this, i feel present. but when i break this ritual — like waking up late, skipping warm-up, or checking the phone first — it ruins the flow. that discipline, that excitement of the practice — it just fades. that’s probably the main reason behind some days being good and some days feeling like “just get it done”.

so moving forward, i’m setting a tiny new goal — practice just sitting for 30 minutes without breaking the flow. not focusing too much on whether i reach deep meditation or not — just being still. no fidgeting, no yawning, no giving up halfway. 30 minutes of presence. that’s the goal. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

also from now on — i’ve decided i should learn deeply about this whole subject of meditation. i don’t just want to practice it — i want to understand it, explore it like a curious student, and implement what works for me.

so yeah — new updates unlocked ๐ŸŽฎ
• tiny goals ๐ŸŽฏ
• more learning ๐Ÿ“š
• better rituals ๐Ÿ”‘

will share how this 30 minutes flow experiment goes tomorrow ๐Ÿ‘€

see you on day 11 ✌️๐Ÿ–ค
