One Question, Endless Answers: My Meditation Realization

🧘‍♂️ Day 22: Meditation Is Like Making a Sandwich 🍞

Hello and welcome to my world — it's officially day 22 of my meditation journey.

As usual, if I review today’s meditation, I’d say it was pretty good. I could actually feel that subtle “something” I’ve been missing lately — that quiet presence we all search for during meditation. And then came the question I always ask myself after each session:

“What did I learn from today’s meditation?”

And every time, the answer surprises me. It’s always different — sometimes deep, sometimes simple, but never the same. And that makes me wonder how one question can offer so many answers. If you're going through something similar and wondering if that’s normal — well, let me tell you, it absolutely is.

🥪 Meditation Is Like Making a Sandwich

Let me explain it this way — imagine you’ve never cooked before, and one day you decide to make a sandwich. You don’t have a guide, just some vague steps. There’s a high chance your first sandwich will turn out terrible — maybe the texture is off, the color is weird, the taste is meh — but hey, you made it.

Now imagine you keep making that sandwich every day. Over time, you start picking up little details — like how long to toast the bread or how layering the ingredients affects the flavor. These small lessons, which you only learn by doing, become essential ingredients in improving your sandwich.

But here's the thing — when you become really good at making sandwiches, you might forget to share those little beginner tips with others. For example, you might have figured out that to get the perfect crisp, you need to toast the bread exactly 10 seconds longer. It sounds silly now, but back then, it changed everything.

Meditation is a lot like that.

Every session gives you small, often overlooked lessons. And if you’re not paying attention — if you’re not aware enough — you might miss them. That’s not just missing knowledge — that’s missing growth. And that’s something worth worrying about.

🌬️ Today’s Lesson: Slow Is the Way

Coming back to today’s session — the biggest lesson was this:

“Slow pace is meditation.”

If your breathing is fast, it takes longer to feel present. The whole experience feels rushed. But when you slow down — truly slow down — everything starts to shift. You settle into yourself. That slowness becomes the gateway to presence.
And I believe this one simple truth holds more hidden benefits than we realize.

🌱 Why You Should Try Meditation (At Least Once)

So if you haven’t started meditating yet, I’d really encourage you to give it a try — just once.
Feel the difference in your mind, in your body, in your breath.
If it clicks with you, keep going. If not, at least you tried something powerful for yourself.
That’s already a win. 🙏

⚡ Sneak Peek: My Zen Monk Mode Challenge

Before I wrap up, I want to give you a quick glimpse of something I’ve been quietly working on —
I call it the Zen Monk Mode Challenge.

You might have seen versions of this floating around online — things like “meditate daily, quit social media, do deep work, journal, stay disciplined.” And yes, those are great practices.

But I wanted to do it differently. I wanted to simplify it.

So I decided to focus on just one element for 30 days straight and observe what changes.

I’ve already started this challenge, even if I haven’t made it “official” yet. But let me tell you — I can feel something shifting already. It’s subtle, but powerful. And I’ll be sharing those updates with you very soon — maybe even tomorrow.

So stay tuned, stay aware, and keep breathing. Until next time ✨
